Dr Shiraz Ismail Dhooma is a passionate and highly skilled dental professional with nearly a decade of clinical experience. He graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2015 and began his career at Medicross, where he quickly gained recognition for his clinical precision and patient-focused approach.
Early in his career, Dr Dhooma took over a referral endodontic practice, where other dentists entrusted him with complex root canal treatments performed under a dental microscope. His meticulous technique and consistent results earned him a strong reputation for handling advanced and re-treatment endo cases with precision and care.
Over the years, he has performed thousands of extractions in his Pinetown practice, managing everything from routine removals to complex wisdom tooth surgeries. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery, focusing on surgical extractions and minor oral surgical procedures.
Dr Dhooma’s passion for advanced surgical and implant dentistry led him to complete an Implantology Course at the Implant and Aesthetic Academy in Cape Town, under the mentorship of Professor Howard Gluckman. He has also earned a Fellowship with the Global College of Implantology, expanding his experience through dental implants placed internationally.
